Tuning in to Kids - in person and online

6 week course for parents/caregivers of primary aged children.

Kids are building their brains for life and we can help you grow the skills you need to support them!

Tuning in to Kids is a programme specially designed for parents and caregivers of children in the primary school years. We will give you research-backed techniques to support your child’s emotional and social development and stay connected through these years.

Topics covered include:

  • Understanding child development.

  • Responding to big emotions like anxiety, sadness and anger.

  • Managing conflict.

  • Building your own and your child’s emotional skills.

Tuning in to Teens - in person (Wellington)

6 week course – for parents/caregivers of Intermediate/ High School aged children

Tuning in to Teens has been adapted from the original Kids programme and specially developed based on the unique needs of adolescent development. We will give you support and skills to help strengthen your relationship with your child through the teen years and help you to boost their emotional development and resilience into adulthood.

Topics covered include:

  • Understanding adolescent development.

  • Responding to challenging emotions like anxiety and anger.

  • Managing conflict and rejection.

  • Building your own and your teen's emotional skills.

$550pp or 20% discount for two whānau members at $825

These are small groups tailored to your needs - max 12 participants. Anyone in a parenting role very welcome including step-parents, foster parents, extended whānau members.
